Advanced modeling planner

The advanced modeling planner gives you and your clients a quick way to see how plan design changes could potentially affect employees’ retirement readiness. It lets you model different scenarios and see results on you own time. You’ll also see how adding or changing automatic plan features could impact the cost of matching contributions.

Details at your fingertips

Finding plan design details for your clients is easy when you visit your Retirement Plan Dashboard.

  • Login to the advisor website on principal.com and select Retirement Plan Dashboard under Key Business Tools.
  • On the Contract Summary tab, click on your client's plan name to see an Executive Summary of the plan's design, including automatic features.
  • You'll find access to the advanced modeling planner by clicking on your client's contract number. From the landing page, select See advanced features at the bottom of the page. 

 
With this information in hand, you can tailor the conversation to your client's specific needs.
